THIS IS HOW OPTUM WORKS

Numbers
become a
decision.

You don't need to monitor the energy market every day. We'll work with you to develop a transparent and easy-to-understand approach to your purchasing.

Let's begin ↓
  1. 01 / ANALYSIS

    First, we understand your business.

When and how much energy do you need? We look at billing information, delivery points, contract durations and – if available – your load profiles.

What load profile data shows →
The result: a clear overview of your needs.
  2. 02 / STRATEGY

Then we tailor your energy procurement.

How much price certainty do you require? What fluctuations can you tolerate? Based on this, we develop the framework for a fixed price, tranches, spot market, or a hybrid model.

    Understanding procurement strategies →
The result: a model and clear decision rules.
  3. 03 / TENDER

    We make offers comparable.

The energy unit price tells only part of the story. We also compare price components, contract conditions and contract durations.

    Preparing an energy tender →
The result: a comprehensible basis for decision-making.
  4. 04 / SUPPORT

See the next step as well.

From the conclusion of the contract until the next contract deadline, the agreed tasks and deadlines will be kept in focus. Personally and in close communication with you.

The people by your side →
The result: Clarity regarding implementation and next steps.

BEFORE THE FIRST CONVERSATION

The first questions.
Clear answers.

Is OPTUM itself my energy supplier?

OPTUM EBA assists and facilitates energy procurement. You conclude your supply contract directly with the selected supplier.

What does the inquiry cost – and when do we discuss payment?

Your inquiry and initial consultation do not constitute a paid engagement. OPTUM is compensated for its services: The fee is tailored to your company and the agreed scope of services and is explicitly agreed upon with you before the individual analysis and quotation process begins. You can use the Load Profile Compass free of charge and without registration; its use does not create an engagement.

What documents can help with getting started?

Your latest energy bill and current contract are a good starting point. If you have multiple delivery points, a property list and existing load profile data will be helpful. We'll discuss what else is needed.

Which procurement model is the most cost-effective?

There's no single answer to that. Consumption, market trends, contract terms, and risk tolerance all play a role. That's why we compare the models based on your specific situation.

Can I request quotes for multiple locations?

Yes. We review the delivery points, quantities, and contract deadlines together. Whether and how bundling makes sense depends on the individual contracts and your needs.

Who will handle my energy request?

Hasan Sahin heads the energy department at OPTUM. He and his team will handle your electricity and gas inquiry. We will prepare for the meeting in detail using your key information. Prepare inquiry

YOUR NEXT STEP

Let’s start
with your needs.

First, send us the basic information about your electricity and gas needs. After this initial consultation, we will agree on the scope of services and pricing before beginning the individual analysis and obtaining of quotes. The inquiry itself does not trigger a paid order.

Making energy planning easier for businesses

OPTUM EBA will work with you to analyze your electricity and gas needs, contracts, and potential procurement models. The starting point is your business, with its processes and objectives.

Data as a basis for decision-making

Annual quantities, contract durations, and existing load profiles help to describe the demand in a comprehensible way. Unclear values are treated as open.

This is how the collaboration begins

Invoices and existing contracts are a good starting point. If you have multiple locations, add a delivery point overview.

Consider price and conditions together

An offer only becomes comparable when the complete pricing rules and conditions are defined. These include quantity flexibility, contract duration, and additional fees.

Which companies can request information?

Businesses, industries, and property management companies can discuss their energy needs with us. Available offers depend on the specific delivery locations and quantities.

Large and complex consumptions

For multiple locations or pronounced load profiles, accurate data allocation is crucial. Planned changes are incorporated into the demand analysis.

The next steps

Assess needs, agree on a framework, compare offers, and coordinate implementation. Who will take on which task will be determined jointly.

Preparing for the conversation

Describe the type of energy, the delivery points, and your most important question. To start the conversation.

Understanding market prices

The SMARD market overview shows published day-ahead electricity prices, with dates, a choice of periods and the underlying data. It is not an individual supply price.

Spot market and futures market

Short-term market prices and earlier price fixing offer different levels of predictability. The Markets in Detail.

Fixed price, variable components and hybrid models

A hybrid model combines fixed and market-based components. The mix is considered based on demand and risk; it does not guarantee savings.

Tranche procurement

The required quantities are procured in tranches. Strategy, timeframes, guidelines, and deadlines are agreed upon in advance. Understanding tranches and AI support.

Measurement and load profile

The availability and resolution of measurement data depend on the measurement concept. A load profile analysis links the data to your operations.

Responsibilities and conditions

Before an engagement, tasks, communication, decision-making processes and remuneration are agreed upon.

Frequently Asked Questions

The cheapest model cannot be determined in general terms. Consumption, market trends, and the contract all play a role. To provide an estimate, we need to know your specific situation and the available offers.
