We had the opportunity to experience Berlin's political scene up close for a week. Our managing director, Kamer Sahin, participated in the "Know-how-Transfer" project of Wirtschaftsjunioren Deutschland together with around 200 other Wirtschaftsjunioren and members of the Bundestag. The aim of this collaboration is to establish direct contact between politicians and entrepreneurs and to give both sides an insight into each other's world.
At the beginning of May, the Wirtschaftsjunioren accompanied their elected representatives, attended meetings, and discussed issues with leading figures from the various parliamentary groups. In return, the politicians are invited to visit our companies and thus receive firsthand information about the current economic situation. Our primary focus was on temporary agency work.
At Optum, we have implemented equal pay because we know that our employees who go to other companies as temporary agency workers perform the same work as their permanent colleagues there.
Josip Juratovic, the Member of Parliament for Heilbronn, welcomes our initiative and works closely with representatives of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the Wirtschaftsjunioren. He emphasizes the importance of good communication between politicians and business leaders to ensure fair and good employment. He is therefore pleased that young entrepreneurs are taking the time to look behind the scenes of politics. To the press release
