Collaboration with clearly defined responsibilities

OPTUM / SIMPLY EXPLAINEDCommon foundation, clear roles
Good collaboration begins with shared data. Who will handle customer meetings, data collection, offer comparison, and closing the deal will be clarified beforehand.

Would you like to work with OPTUM EBA to support businesses in procuring energy? In our first conversation, we will clarify the target group, possible services and division of responsibilities. The collaboration needs a transparent basis for everyone involved.

Capture data and needs appropriately

Billing information, delivery points, contract deadlines, and existing load profiles help to describe the demand. What data is needed and how it can be legally shared must be clarified beforehand. A digital meter alone does not automatically provide all the information required for an evaluation.

Electricity and gas: Combining requirements

Depending on the company, the focus may be on electricity, gas, or multiple energy sources. Preferred sources, flexible quantities, and fixed prices are all part of the agreement, as is the delivery period. An offer must meet these requirements.

Explain procurement options in an understandable way

Fixed prices, tranches, spot market, and hybrid models are considered based on need and risk. The collaboration should not be based on blanket promises of the best price. Contact persons, communication, tasks, and compensation are agreed upon before the start of the project.

Binding standards for cooperation

Anyone who collaborates with OPTUM bears responsibility for the quality of the advice and the joint actions. Therefore, all partners must know, understand, and reliably adhere to our professional, organizational, and ethical guidelines.

A prerequisite is proven expertise: partners must know what they are doing, explain decisions in a comprehensible way, carefully assess risks and openly address the limits of their own knowledge.

This commitment applies throughout the entire collaboration. Partners maintain regular communication with OPTUM, keep their knowledge up-to-date, and continuously develop their working methods.

Our articles on procurement strategies, commercial electricity and commercial gas provide a technical basis. The load profile guide explains why, in addition to the amount of energy, the time of consumption also matters.
